City Reflections

Posting a bit late tonight as we have had another busy day.

Thanks so much to everyone who commented and fav'd yesterday's Mirror Box Bottles photo. I posted a link showing how it was done, so look forward to seeing lots of mirror boxes in the near future.

I took this photo a couple of weeks ago in Newcastle. In fact I took two photos and wasn't sure which one I preferred, so this is version one and I will post the other version tomorrow and see which you prefer.

Great reflections and the angles of the building add so much interest.

@pcoulson Indeed Peter. It is a case of the old vs the new in Newcastle these days. Since the end of the railway it is so sad to see so many new high rises appearing along Hunter Street one side of the road is all new buildings and the other is the old. I hope they don't demolish too many of the old buildings.

I have posted version two of this shot today. Sorry for the group reply, but I am out for lunch shortly and out this evening too.

I hope the wobbly bits of this image aren't an omen of another earthquake. The last serious earthquake in Newcastle was in 1989 and caused a lot of damage. As you will know there has been lots of earthquake activity in our region over the last couple of weeks, both in New Zealand and Japan. Hopefully we are just outside the Ring of Fire.
