Mrs Lace Monitor Close Up

Yesterday I posted a photo of a male lace monitor lizard close up and today here is a close up of the lady monitor I saw on the same day. Hasn't she got lovely markings and just look at her eye, I love the markings around her eye. She is so pretty.

We have been at an 80th birthday lunch for a friend of ours so I haven't had chance to catch up with 365 today. We are out all day tomorrow too in Newcastle, so I could be a bit absent this weekend.

The claws do look dangerous don't they, all the better for climbing trees and ripping wildlife to bits, ha ha.

@kathiecb Red nail polish would add some flair Kathie, but although I am game enough to get close to take a photo, I'm not so sure I would be tempted to apply nail polish to her fingers.
