It has been an emotional day today as we attended our friend John's funeral this afternoon.

I took this photo last week at Little Beach and thought it was a suitable photo for today.

I think I am going to have a quiet night tonight and will probably not catch up until tomorrow.

David and I are going to miss him.
John always had his camera and mobile phone handy and I am sure he will be taking photos wherever he is now.
I almost expected to get a text from his this morning saying 'The eagle has landed'

@happypat Indeed, we do seem to be attending more funerals these days. The only time David wears a suit these days is when we go to funerals and he mentioned yesterday that when he looked in his pocket there was the order of service from the last funeral we attended.

@julzmaioro You will have an emotional day too. Your aunty had a good long life didn't she, but even so, it is still sad to say goodbye to loved ones.

We knew the end was coming because John had brain cancer and we did get to see him the day before he passed away to say or goodbyes, but even so the funeral was very emotional. We did give him a good send off though.
