Tecoma Capensis (Cape Honeysuckle) by onewing

Tecoma Capensis (Cape Honeysuckle)

I took this photo a few weeks ago and forgot to post it.

As you know I am no good at identifying flowers, so I asked a friend of mine if he knew what it was called. He said he thought it was a Tecoma Capensis, but not sure, so could somebody identify it for me please.
A beautiful shot Babs, lovely detail and colour.

Certainly looks like one. I am rubbish at names too, but a speedy google image search shows very similar looking blooms, so it looks right. Very pretty trumpet shape.

@ludwigsdiana @777margo @beryl @gamelee @quietpurplehaze @pusspup @lyndamcg @tonygig @hermann @sangwann Thanks. I think Peter is right @pcoulson with Cape Honeysuckle and my friend Lloyd is right too with Tecoma Capensis because they are the same flower. Cape Honeysuckle being its common name. Well done Peter and also to Lloyd. Casablanca picked it too, you can share the winning coconut with Peter @casablanca

What an unusual flower - it looks like it's leaping forward. Love the contrast of the bright orange against the rich green.

Looks right to be called a honeysuckle Babs, brilliant colour & would suit a hot hot garden.....not that hot yet in Adelaide is it.

@happypat Thanks Pat. No idea what the weather is like in Adelaide though, I live 1500 km from there in New South Wales. Getting warmer here though and about 22 degrees C today.
