Tin City Seeing-to by onewing

Tin City Seeing-to

This is the last of my photos of Tin City shacks for the time being. I thought I would give this one a bit of a 'seeing-to'

After three days of black and white I need some colour, so back to colour photos tomorrow.

Hope you have enjoyed seeing the hidden shacks in the dunes.
A great B&W Babs, I really enjoyed your series. We did something similar in Namibia at Kolmanskop, which is an old diamond town that had to be evacuated because the dunes took over. Today it is a very sandy museum.

You've given it a right royal seeing to Babs!! I see they have a TV antenna as well as some other contraptions up there. I imagine one is a water tank, maybe that's to heat the water for a hot shower. I wonder if the other is a wind vane. Great image.

@bella_ss Yes some did have tv aerials. They put down spear point for bore water and only have to go down about 1 metre to access clear water. They have solar panels too and generators. LPG gas for cooking and for running a fridge. All mod cons except a supermarket, but they can catch fish only a few metres away in the ocean.
