Aboriginal Boy Street Art

Every time we go to Newcastle we pass this fabulous street art. I have taken photos of it before, but I wanted to put it in my album again.

It is my favourite of all the street art in Newcastle and was painted a few years ago by Melbourne Street Artist Adnate for the Hit the Bricks Festival.

I believe that Matt Adnate is going to replicate the mural on the new building when it is complete because so many people complained that the artwork was being removed. I suspect that a lot of the wonderful street art in Newcastle will be removed soon as the developers are demolishing a lot of the old buildings and replacing them with high rises.


@gilbertwood I have seen a couple of his artworks in Melbourne including the one of the aboriginal boy in Hosier Lane.

@bella_ss Indeed he has done a few artworks in Melbourne and other places around Australia too. He is very well known.
