The Race

On Sunday we went to Maitland Steamfest and I have finally got around to processing some of the photos taken on the day.

Here you can see the Great Train Race finale as steam locomotives 3265 and 3526 race a Tiger Moth aeroplane from Waratah to Maitland.

I thought you would be interested in this link. It is of the 30th anniversary Steamfest in 2016 where four steam locomotives raced from Broadmeadow to Maitland. The clouds looked rather black at one point, but we did have a short shower of rain while we were in a restaurant having lunch and luckily it had cleared again by the time we were back at the festival.

@angelar I and a lot of other people were standing on the central platform of the station and I did well to get this photo because there were lots of blokes with huge cameras in front of me and I had to take the shot over their heads.
