Grey Skies by onewing

Grey Skies

What a difference a day makes.

This is the same boat that appeared in yesterday's photo, but as you can see it has huddled up with some of its friends today.

The temperature dropped last night and we have had lots of much needed rain. As you can see the skies have turned from pink to grey now.

Still nice to see.

It is a comforting sight when you need rain. Also I like being safe at home listening to the rain and not caring what colour the sky is.

Ah, lovely to get some rain and a break from the heat and winds. Homecoming kind of sight to me. Hubby was away sailing at the weekend in The Solent.

It does look chilly- the grey tones make me want to put on a sweater. Good shot.

Yes I recognise the two blue stripes....you are coming into Spring & us into autumn...the evening temperature has dropped here too. We do not need any rain at all thank you!

@happypat Spring started so well and now we have lots of rain. Rain is good though because it has been so dry this winter and we dread bushfires once summer arrives after the dry weather.

We had 56 mm rain last night and a terrific storm, but today we are clearing up the mess the strong winds caused. Branches down in the garden and the drain overflowed between next door and us and the soil and sand washed into our patio area.

I took this photo on my way home from keep fit class yesterday morning and I think the temperature was about 15 degrees c. I had to take it one handed with camera in one hand and umbrella in the other because it was pouring with rain.
We had a terrific storm with strong winds and thunder during the night and I thought our house was going to be blown away. A lot of clearing up to do today with branches and leaves all over the garden. The good news is we had 56 mm rain according to our rain gauge, so that will dampen down the bushland and fill the dams.

I love the colour of this photo. Surprising really as I don't usually like grey skies as you know!
