Super Duper Karts by onewing

Super Duper Karts

Still a bit short on time at the moment, so here is another photo from Newcastle taken last week.

This kart was outside a café in the centre of town and it was advertising the Super Duper Kart Bike Show event in Newcastle last Sunday. I wish I had been able to go to see it, but we were busy. Maybe next year.
looks like a death trap hehehe

Your additions - or were they there - are delightful! This is a very well made cart which would make any racer proud!

Impressive bit of kit Babs looks like it would be great fun to ride as a little one, btw back in our day they were four pram wheels fixed to a wooden frame with only your feet as brakes, lol:)

That is a very impressive cart

Funny but im wondering how it works ? Its not a bicycle and i don't think there space for a motor ... or it is just to be pulled may be ... ( i see a hook in the front )... Your photo made me think ;)

I wonder if the decorations are indicative of its safety rating :))

I wouldn’t care to sit in that cart with him looking over my shoulder!

@pcoulson Yes we used to make them with four pram wheels and a plank of wood too when we were kids. Not as elaborate as this one though. Still got the scars.

@koalagardens Ha ha, indeed.

@maggiemae The additions were already there. As Peter said we used to make them with 4 pram wheels and wood when we were kids, not as elaborate as this one though. How we survived I have no idea.

@nicolecampbell @happysnaps @joansmor @haskar @ludwigsdiana @northy @pusspup @gijsje @photographycrazy @peadar @mittens @mzzhope @mave @casablanca @carolmw @happypat Thanks, I would have loved to have been able to go to the show, but we were busy that day.

@cocobella @merrelyn Definitely. We used to make them with 4 pram wheels and planks of wood and bits of string when we were kids. Nothing as elaborate as this one though. Not into health and safety in those days. We used to ride down steep roads and as Peter said only our feet to slow us down again. It is a wonder we survived to tell the tale.

Ha ha I need one of those with a engine. I am so tired being in a wheel chair.
November 28th, 2019
A bit creepy I think. Great find and capture.
November 28th, 2019
Why not!
November 28th, 2019
Yikes...late for Halloween!
November 29th, 2019
Didn't your mum tell you not to park your billy-cart like that?? Good one Babs.
November 29th, 2019
@golftragic My Mum didn't even know I used to ride one when I was a kid, she would have had heart failure.
November 29th, 2019
@onewing Oh dear, I used to build and ride in my own billy-carts, along with the other kids in the street.
November 29th, 2019
@onewing Most of us used to go round the local garages and beg any old ball-races and then used them as wheels. Pram wheels were in a Rolls Royce category.
November 29th, 2019
The wheels in this shot look like old-fashioned golf buggy wheels.

I'm glad this is an advertisement for an event and not a baby carriage- the child would have nightmares! Good shot!
