Wild Weather at Fingal Bay by onewing

Wild Weather at Fingal Bay

Not been out again today and some friends of ours turned up unexpectedly so had a lovely afternoon chatting with them.

At last the rain and gale force winds have stopped.

I took this photo on Thursday when I went for a bracing walk on Fingal Beach. As you can see the waves were huge. I managed to have a lovely walk between showers of rain. I love watching the ocean whatever the weather.

Very powerful shot. Lovely lines and light.

The sea looks angry. I had a lazy day too. It’s good to have a relaxing day every now and then.

Many years back a friend who had a beach house allowed me to go spend a week there off-season. I'm like you- I don't care what the weather is like, I just love looking at the ocean, so I was in heaven! The second night there a huge storm was way off the coast but the waves were spectacular! Beautiful shot.

@olivetreeann I love the ocean whatever the weather and we are lucky to live so close to so many gorgeous beaches. On our side of the bay the ocean is calm because it is sheltered but on the Fingal side it is the open ocean and totally different, we get the best of both worlds.
