It has finally rained here today, but nothing to get too excited about. According to our rain gauge we have had 2 mm rain. Not going to make a world record, but at least it is a start.
This blue faced honey eater doesn't look too happy about the rain.
I know its face isn't blue, but this is a juvenile and the skin around the eye on youngsters is either yellow or green and doesn't turn blue until it is an adult.
He;s so lovely! What great markings and you are right he does look a bit miffed! Great capture! Great detail. Glad for your rain...we will have plenty when we get home. The snow has been melted away...which is typical for our area.
@hermann Thanks Sally. He didn't look too impressed with the rain. Raining again today a bit, but not heavy though. Hope you get some soon. It has been so dry here lately.
@angelar We have been seeing on the news about your wet weather. If you find where the plug hole is you can unplug it and send some of the water or way. Poor weather works both ways though, some parts of Australia is in drought at the moment which is bad for the farmers and livestock.
