This month my theme subject is pairs - Two pictures which have a common thread. As part of this theme, I have sometimes used photos I have previously posted on 365 and matched them up with another photo to make a pair and other times I have used completely new photos. You will see what I mean as I post the photos each day. Hope you enjoy this month's theme.
Today's pairs photo as you can see is of oranges and lemons. The photo on the right is one I had already posted on 365 previously, but the one on the left was taken in our local supermarket with my phone with this theme in mind. I might add that I nearly got arrested for taking this photo because apparently it is against Company policy for anyone to take photos in Coles supermarket. The chap who told me this didn't actually know why and he also said that he should ask me to delete the photo I had taken. I said "Okay ask me to delete the photo" and he said that he wouldn't say that and would let it go. My reply was "Wise move". ha ha.
@newbank@888rachel@gigiflower@hermann@kporte@neatz Thanks so much. Can't see why it was a problem in the supermarket to take photos of the fruit. Maybe oranges and lemons are wanted by the police. You wouldn't pick them out in a line up though would you, they all look the same to me.
Great pairing. How bizarre about the photo policy - makes you wonder what they're trying to hide. ;) Good for you standing up for yourself - sounds like he didn't really know what he was talking about.
Having heard of past antics of yours I wouldn't have been in his shoes if he had asked you! Good for you Babs! Sometimes they are so silly. . Excellent idea with the photos
I had that happen at a local Mariano's and was so annoyed! Same thing in response too -- corporate policy but no idea why. The result here is terrific -- glad you didn't delete!
@chimfa Ha ha. I have been approached in the past for taking photos, so was prepared. They usually find they have bitten off more than they can chew when they tackle me.
@darthkitty Ha ha. Once he said it was company policy, but didn't know why I did say "You have nowhere to go now with that argument" and he had to agree.
Such a law breaker. Bet your photos up now in the supermarket. Neat shot on right. If that's a lemange we would have a word that rhymes with orange. LOL
@kathiecb I am sure I am on CCTV in the shopping centre ha ha. Have taken a photo in KMart with a friend and told not to, I have taken a photo in another supermarket too, taken a photo in the bank of a chap who had a parrot on his shoulder (don't see that every day) and a few more snaps too. I think they are on to me. I just play dumb when they tell me I can't take photos in the shopping centre though and pretend I have no idea why they have that rule.
I like the idea of the mixed fruit being a lemange. Apparently there are two words which rhyme with orange. I heard it on a quiz show here recently. They are Blorenge (a mountain in Wales) and sporange (a sac where spores are made.
