These little buggers just don't sit still! I went to the Old Mission Dam in San Diego...it was a macro heaven! Frogs, dragonflies, butterflies, bugs,great plants...and a lot of people! I had to catch myself from getting mad every time someone would walk by and scare off my subject. I was the crazy guy with the camera for sure!
I found this place last week with my wide angle, it just didn't work for close ups! :o) So I came back with the macro and got this guy!
gorgeous jerry. i LOVE the greenery in this shot and how they are angled through your photo like that. lovely details and great colors! i also like the shine to his wings :D Awesome!
Loving your commentary!! I'm laughing because you sound like me when I'm trying so hard to capture anything like that, and the more I'm trying, the more people seem to walk by....! And then there are days when I don't really make a ton of effort and boom - awesome pic! Well you did very well under the circumstances! Great capture!
Nice capture, and well worth the wait. I've ordered a Tamron 90mm Macro (should be here in the next couple of days) so it will be interesting to see if I can get anything this good.
Awesome! I know that crazy feeling, when inconsiderate people walk thru your shots, or let their dogs chase away your subjects! I've worn my teeth down to stumps from all the gnashing!
That's amazing, Jerry! I just can't do macros. I totally suck lol Will have to try someday but I'm sure I'm so far way from something so amazing as this photo.
