I took a little trip to the Point Loma Lighthouse here in San Diego. Such a great place to take the camera...and the girls. :) So many photo ops! I'll defiantly have to come back here when the elements are right! Shots like this I prefer clouds in the sky or maybe a sunset! The park closes at 5:00pm and this time of year the sun sets at 8:00!

This is such a beautiful lighthouse - you'd almost never guess it was in San Diego with the focus on the fence ... looks very East Coast in a way. Fantastic!!
My first thought after, "Beautiful!" was, wow, this could have been taken on Cape Cod. I completely agree with @beachradish on this. Your girls are so lucky to have such a wonderful dad.
I've tried to get this same perspective several times but the tourists always manage to walk in front of my lens. Love that you got this without people. The blue sky really makes the lighthouse stand out Jerry, wonderfully done!
I've been down there a couple of times. There are a lot of interesting things to shoot down there including the cemetery you drive through in order to get to the point.
@bkbinthecity The view from up there is amazing! @webfoot Its a beautiful drive! Funny how I never visited these popular tourist spots here until I started 365! Fun to see what my own city has to offer! @maggiemae Its now a museum. You can walk through it and see all the rooms full of old furnishings! Very cool!
this is lovely! i like picket fences... not sure if it's because they remind me of my childhood, or they just make me think of yesteryear and simpler times :)
