I love your wide angle shots... I just gotta spring for that 16-35mm FX lens for my full frame camera. I know I'm gonna love it. well done, Jerry, you inspire me.
@cameronknowlton that lens sounds exciting! There was a time when I never pulled this lens out until I challenged myself to keep it on for a week, now it's my favorite lens in my bag! If you can do it, get it! You'll love it! Thanks for the comment, Cameron! :)
oh, you know it... the Nikon 16-35mm is FX (full frame) compatible, f/4 across the entire focal range, it's VR (making it a near-f/2.8), ED (for shooting into the sunrise/sunset), and it even takes a filter, so I can use an ND to push my daytime long exposures, or even a lowly $300 polarizer at dusk. It's one of Nikon's Dream Team, and is the sharpest lens in its class (ultrawide zoom). I cannot wait to get it.
Very enchanting B&W, looks like you did a lot of work on it. Just toning the saturation all the way down is what I usually do. But you did something else, can you share your secret?
@sonnypichay This started out as a HDR. After I turned it B&W I overlayed a texture layer in PS. The texture was a picture of an old piece of wet metal. :)
I know they do come and go so quickly. Beautiful shot ! I love the composition and tones. Really draws me in. Of course it's winter here ( NYC, NY ) lol...would love to be there. How's the weather? ;)
Always such stunning shots. I hope to get a wide angle lens when I can afford one. Did you get your lens wet at the top or is that something else i see?
@rwhite Thank you, Rosie! The droplets are from a texture layer I added in post processing! I have to admit I baby my lenses way to much to let water get on them! :o)
