Took the girls on a quick hike to the Old Mission Dam. While I was there I notice this lady taking pictures of bushes and rocks, getting down in the dirt! I was so tempted to ask her if she was a 365er but I just couldn't get myself to break her serious concentration! Now I know what some people must think of me while I'm squatting in the flowerbeds or laying on the sidewalk! :o)
Love this Jerry, stunning in large. I know what you mean, I have become quite scruffy since I started this, when out and about I wear clothes I ma not too fussed about if I lay on the ground with!
LOL Yes I think we all look a little strange at times! Fav photo here. So dramatic and quite harsh but then you have the soft, whispy clouds. Beautiful.
Hahha It's kinda nice to find others who lay down on the sidewalks to get a shot :) Wonderful capture Jerry! I love the B&W! Amazing feel to this shot! :)
For me this photo feels like its got a real sense of movement, even though nothings actually moving. I think its the lines of the trees or the swirl of the sky. Really beautiful Jerry.
Great shot Jerry. I often get weird looks from our neighbours when Im wandering about he paddock getting shots of webs or weeds too. Im sure they think Im loco!
That sky is magnificent. It's only when you see someone else taking pics that you wonder if you look the same. I must say I've given up worrying what people think when I think I've seen the angle I want to shoot from!
This is gorgeous, Jerry! I love the swirl of the clouds and it looks great in b&w. I had a similar experience yesterday. I saw a man at the beach with a camera and it was so frigid out that I thought he must be a 365-er because no one else would be crazy enough to brave the cold for a photo.
Wonderful shot - the wispy clouds set it off brilliantly. I often think we should have '365' pin badges for our camera straps or something to identify us! :)
Love how the trees are mirroring the sky ! I was in London the other week and saw someone in a strange position taking a photo of the entrance to a subway - I too was dying to ask him if he was a 365er !
B&W landscape work can be outstanding when the time has been taken to do it right. Starting in the field and composing the shot, selecting the right settings on the camera, making sure the focus is sharp, having a creative sense of how to use the light. These are things that can't be done in photoshop and are the base for creating fine art pieces. I appreciate the professional effort - this is a stunning example of fine art photography, well done!!
lol. :D I love this, the landscape really does look like it's been caught in a bit of time warp! Love it in black and white too, really brings out the contrasts in the sky and the landscape.
The sky looks like it was taken with infrared film and a red filter, I love the dramatic contrast between the dark sky and white clouds, the white rocks in front create nice contrast and depth also, man, you are good!
Great B&W Jerry...love the way the clouds are an extension of the branches!
I often wonder what people think when they see me kneeling in strange positions or lying on the ground :)
