Experiment

Yes they are great colours, the light was right and the focus is not to bad. So what is he on about!! This is the result of strapping my Canon 30D to the end of a spotting scope. This beach hedge is at the bottom of our garden which is nearly 100 metres away. More work needed and the daylight has to be good. Please have a look at the Hedge sparrow in the Other album if you get time.
Sounds like a great idea. I know that some spotting scopes come with fitments for smaller cameras but I haven't come across one with a DSLR mount yet.

@steampowered Hi Paul, When I bought the scope they tried to sell me a small panasonic with it that included special mount. I asked what to do with my DSLR and suddenly an adaptor appeared on the counter for about 25quid!!!! However have to admit it is bulky and not easy to use. Practice required I think

What's a spotting scope? Is it some sort of telescope you can attach your camera to? Love the colours here

I love the glow the leaves have in this picture. I had to look up what a spotting scope is! I look forward to seeing the results of further experimentation on these pages. Katharine
