Two prayer books at St Albans, one well used the other virtually brand new. Good news for number two son he has been offered a place at Oxford. Now the real dilemma for him, he has to choose.
Oh very well done Padlock to #2 son....which has he to choose between, I would think it would be an easy choice unless the other is Cambridge of course!!! How proud you must be of him. I think it's coming back to me & I think the other one is Birmingham cause I joked about him meeting Lydia! I like the old used prayer book best.
@judithg Oooooh not nice. Now he has what he thinks is a hard decision. For me if I was still looking at CV's know where I would be going. Old head young shoulders.
@padlock Well @happypat has mentioned Birmingham which is where my daughter is and the very sciencey psychology course really suits her - but she would still have gone to Oxford given a choice (not that she applied). There are lots of advantages to being in a college, not least very good value accommodation, social life, sporting opportunities (Rachel won't do sport in Birmingham because you have to pay the best part of £200 to join anything). And then there are all the other reasons of course - you must be very self-controlled letting him make up his own mind!!
@judithg Judith, He also has offers from Exeter and Birmingham, waiting for Bristol which is his first choice. I keep quiet at the moment as in his words"What do I know". Didn't do Uni from school went the hard way after work.
I wonder which sounds loveliest...!
Excellent news for your son. Mine has stunned me by applying to 4 universities and suddenly really enthusiastic about his studies! (Playing on ps3 now.. some things don't change completely I guess!)
Lovely lighting in this shot.
