Mud glorious Mud. by padlock

Mud glorious Mud.

Well after much deliberation and research I finally decided on a new lens. I went for the Tamron 150-600 which was a far choice from what I was thinking about but after taking all factors into account, including cost and weight the Tamron won. Not a brnad I favour but the reviews were good and as you can see the results are not bad either. This enormous stag was at Woburn and he was by himself and all the velvet has gone from the antlers. looks to me as if he is getting in shape for the rut although he may be early!! Anyway hope you enjoy the shot and have a good weekend
A super capture. Good luck with your lens. FAV

Was this handheld or did you use tripod?

I do believe that is the lens @sequoia Matt has just purchased for his Nikon. Absolutely fab shot of the deer. Woburn is only 10 minutes from me, it's a fab place to use long lenses

@teiko Hi, it was hand held.

@pixiemac Sarah,as you know I was looking at a another lens but this was pointed out to me and the reviews looked good, The results seem excellent as you can see and I didn't have to sell the sports car to buy it.

@padlock It would have been harsh to sell the sports car, I know Matt is pleased with his too. I am currently wavering between the 24 -70mm or the 70 - 200 2.8...any thoughts

@pixiemac 70-200 2.8 canon is brilliant.
