I always feel sorry for our local travel agent as she has to work so hard to get our holidays sorted. Not that we don't know where we want to go(which we don't) but when we want to go. She no longer asks us which year or month just a simple request how many days have I got. The best was a family holiday literally arranged one afternoon, net morning we were on a flight to Barbados. Anyway USA here we come, Denver, Yellowstone, Yogi Bear and Boo Boo, back via Washington DC all booked for next week. Can't wait, what will be strange is that is will just be me and Mrs P!!
Derbyshire for three days tomorrow, walking, photo's and a photo course. Whooppee.
Life is good!! How wonderful to have a great holiday like that to look forward to, you will have a great time! Lots of great photo ops too so we will all come with you! A second honeymoon with Mrs P & all your 365 gang!,
Well if you want more company I am sure the small people and I can help you out! Need a pic of Yogi and Boo Boo,,,what a great name he has to say it twice! Have a great trip xx
@huvesaker Well that is an offer I am sure you would enjoy it, but having just got rid of our own little people it is time for Mrs P to enjoy the sheer delight of the open country with her own Padlock the Outdoor Ranger!!
You sound like us, never plan a holiday that far in advance (apart from the annual family sailing holiday where you have to keep an eye out for the best price as it fluctuates so much!!) Sounds like a super trip, have an amazing time and of course take loads of pics. Enjoy the photography course too.
WOW....GO West young Man!! Can't wait to see your photos from the USA....Have a safe trip. You will love Yellowstone...will you be driving to Washington DC? Next time go further west Oregon and Washington are beautiful this time of year!
@eyesmile Gena, Yellowstone is a part of the US I have wanted to visit for ages so no boys to think about we went for it. Using Denver as a starting point and will fly to DC from Denver when we have finished Yellowstone/grand Teton etc. thanks as ever for the comments etc.
Oh wow I was jealous with Derbyshire.... this is brilliant news!!! Don't forget to buy at least 10 more memory cards at the duty free....!! Bon Voyage and keep safe! x
Was just in Teton National Park this week! Definitely bring mosquito spray. They are really bad right now around there. I live in Denver. Are you driving to Yellowstone? Denver to Tetons is about 8 hours from Northern Denver through Cheyenne. I'd recommend going through Lander. If you want a nice place for coffee try Old Town Coffee on the main street in Lander. Great Kenya coffee.
Yellowstone is close to Teton, kind of. At least it is close to the border of Yellowstone. Then you will have to drive a LONG way to get to most of the things you will want see.
