I like this very much. It is a great POV. I'm not sure if I like that it isn't aligned or not. In one way, the way you are looking at the scene is different because most will allign the shot perfectly. The wide angle is a great choice. Wish I had something a little wider than my 18mm.
For me though, architecture, especially in cathedrals is about symmetry and perfection in form. It represents the heavens above us. So.. I would have liked it aligned symmetrically.
SORRY that I just left two critical responses on your photos. I am DEFINITELY not trying to be negative. Just giving my opinion. I hope that is cool.
@adambralston I am not sure that we can say the heavens above us are symmetrically aligned having never been there or ever will. However I could have aligned it perfectly but that would have disturbed a large group who were being given a tour of the building and secondly it appealed to my other side as I knew someone would comment on my inability to take a square shot. Your comments are always welcome as is your opinion which is yours of course.
@padlock No, I wasn't stating that the heavens above are symmetrical. But, in religious arcitecture, the ceilings often represent the heavens above. Sometimes there are clouds painted, sometimes stars, and often representations of God, etc. Symmetry in cathedrals is very important. That's all.
I'm not commenting on your ability to take a square shot at all. It's just this one isn't, and I thought it should be.
Again, don't mean to offend, and obviously I have.
Enjoy your trip and enjoy the South West US. I love it here so much.
