Wall Painting St Alban's Cathedral by padlock

Wall Painting St Alban's Cathedral

Another shot from yesterdays visit to St Albans. Set out about 11.30 to walk my 10,000 steps but after 45 mins into the walk was met by 10,000 raindrops so made my way home very wet, bedraggled and no photo!! Anyway this was created in about the 15th century and still looks good. I think it was found during restoration, not only is the detail superb but the height it is painted out is not for the feint hearted. No steel scaffolding or harness rigs then. Enjoy.

Bloody graffiti artists. Aren't church walls sacred any more? (nice photo though Mr Soggy)

Nice colours and tones. 10,000 steps sounds like quite a lot!
