Went to see Baby P in a Mixed Martial Arts Exhibition last night. Quite an occasion for me as when he is fighting normally neither I or Mrs P are allowed to go. Anyway this was a demo fight, however someone seemed not to have told his opponent this. Baby P has a national ranking been doing MMA for a number of years, holds a black belt at Karate, weighs in at 80k and is extremely fit. Obviously the other guy thought he had a chance against a ranked fighter. Baby P was the perfect gentleman and took some heavy hits, it was a three round fight and after chatting with his trainer at the end of the second round and a gentle discussion with the referee and opponent re "power" I saw how he earned his name "Shotgun". Basically his opponent walked into both barrels, end of fight. Have to say so proud of him for keeping cool but in the end after due warning he stepped up several gears and that was it.
How amazing to sit & watch your son in the boxing ring! A sort of mixed pride & terror specially for Mrs P. I can understand why you are normally banned! Your son sounds a lovely & fair sportsman.
