At long last I have managed to get a shot of a female Kingfisher, this is the first one for many months. She is in prime condition and looking at her probably is in her first year due to the checker boarding on her chest.
Bit grainy I am afraid but this was shot handheld as she decided to land away from where I was set up with the tripod.
