They are very determined. I've given up trying to deter them because they are the only thing that actually deters the parakeets which have become quite a nuisance around London.

I have a little table where I put seed on top of a stump. Keeps them off the feeder.

We bought a shepherds hook and baffle. So far, so good. It is away from a tree or fence so I have not seen ANY squirrels eating at the bird feeders. Maybe your baffle is up too high?
