The air was so thick, and smoky. I cannot imagine what it is like living near the wildfires. It is sad, and devastating.

It is winter here but we are heading for an El Nino weather pattern so I suspect next summer we will experience lots of bushfires again.

My goodness!! This is an absolute calamity. I feel so sad and upset at the thought of the birds and animals, great and small, with no way to escape those grasping flames, the trees burning … it’s just a terrible situation. Horrific.
