Didn't really expect to see this tree on the north shore of the Vancouver harbour, looking very much at home in late October!
This is a windmill palm- Trachycarpus fortunei - a very nice specimen of this cold hardy tree. It is also quite resistant to wind and salt, making it a suitable choice for this park.
