This is my 365 photo for year 3 wishing you all a very Happy New Year from Finlay and me. I hope it's a very happy and healthy one for you all!!
You may be thinking what a strange image but this is my first shot from my new 8-15mm Fisheye lens which had just arrived. My challenge for 2016 is to learn how to use this lens to get some interesting images. I would like to know what I am doing before I go to Chicago in May. Mind you the expert with a Fisheye -Taffy - will hopefully be able to give me some pointers!! LOL!!
This shot has not been cropped and you can see my knee in the shot. It did warn you that you had to be careful not to get your feet in the shot!! I am going to have fun with this lens!!
Have a wonderful New Years Eve those of you who have not reached midnight yet. We are having a quiet one with a few drinks and will be watching the fireworks in London on the TV.
@maggiemae There is a gas fire hidden by the small Christmas tree which is standing on the hearth. Luckily the central heating has always been so good that we haven't had to have the fire on i the last 4 years.
This looks interesting Pam. I really must NOT buy another lens for a little while anyway! Great shot of Finlay and I love the effect this lens has. Happy New Year to you too. It should be great one when we descend on Chicago - the English 365 ers!
Wonderful view of your lovely living room Pam you could become an estate agent in your spare time with that lens! It looks good fun & you will get some great effects when you begin to master it! Looks a pretty good job you have got here but I think there will be lots to learn!
A very Happy New Year to you & Finlay.
Your first shot is GREAT!!! A good record too for ways of improving, though I hate admit how many I delete because of my feet in the way! I love the light burst too -- this is going to be a great lens to use and it will get a workout in Chicago. It means we HAVE to go to the porticos of the Lyric Opera and Union Station, and the lobby of the weird Illinois building. Prime places for fisheye. AND of course, the Cultural Center and its domes. Have a wonderful year ahead -- I'm looking forward to May! (and I like your living room!)
A new lens; always an inspiration for fun learning.
Best wishes in the New Year. And thanks for the comment shared on my "wonder cat" picture a few days back. Appreciate the visit.
