The tea cup was one of my birthday presents and I was hoping to get a shot of my little robin on it. I filled the cup with meal worms and within minutes a crowd of noisy starlings descended on the cup and saucer and of course the meal worms!! They are so greedy and and were taking beakfulls of worms. Maybe they were taking them back to their babies in their nests.
Many thanks for your great comments on yesterdays gannet shot and also for all your kind birthday wishes. I had a lovely lunch out and then family came round with cards and presents. A nice day but it was a shame my sister had to have her radiotherapy treatment. Maybe we can celebrate next week in Devon!!
So pleased to see this on the PP this morning! I love my birthday present and I think you may be seeing it again sometime! I also got a little teapot but it will have to wait until I am back from Devon before I get it out.
Love love love this! Love the action shot and I LOVE the feeder! I do believe "I NEED" one of those! It's too adorable! Looked at a few pictures but want to get around to more friends this evening...it was awesome to see the bird pack so many larva in her beak. If, indeed , she's feeding the kids, that's just spectacular! Good on both of you!
(Thanks for your sweet note, Pam...I'm slowed a bit, but not out of the game!)
Excellent shot Pam, love the colours in the feathers and those wonderful wings. I've bought my sister-in-law a little teapot version for her birthday next week and I'm tempted to treat myself, they're so pretty.
@paulaw thanks Paula. My friend also gave me the teapot version for my birthday! I was so thrilled! Just had a quick play yesterday but I'm am busy packing for my Devon holiday today. Lots to play with when I get home!
Love this and the way it shows the daintiness of the teacup feeder combined with the violent assault by the starling. Love the light especially, and the wings. Fav of course.
