We had a wonderful drive through the Dales today - fantastic that we seemed to be the only car on the road for most of the time - how I love driving when it's like that!! After a sunny morning the cloud had come over which made the light flat for a photo. This is 3 bracketed shots merged to HDR in photomatix.

Today while in our condo (temporary still), my phone went off with flash flood warnings, and sirens were going off warning of tornadoes, and it's been raining and lightening. Strangest weather day! All is well, though.
@pamknowler Yes, it all is gone and we have a sunny, beautiful, comfortable day for a nice change. And the bad weather probably was not a bad thing for the scale of celebration in the city. Sometimes a huge event like that can cause damage in public areas -- all is good!
This is a beautiful shot... the HDR really brings out the tones, textures and colors of this lovely rural landscape. Of course, the hut is charming. A super job.
