We were walking on the local common when we heard a rustling in the undergrowth and suddenly this head popped up!! Finlay wanted to join him!!

I think you will find that it is a Swaledale EWE not a him. You do not generally find male sheep on the common land. Occasionally one will escape from the enclosed fields onto the common, but this is not one. I like the startled look on her face, you certainly surprised her. Great shot.
