We went for a walk yesterday to Castle Ashby gardens. These are part of the formal gardens where the topiary is magnificent. Lovely at this time of the year as there are no flowers to distract from the lines and angles. In Spring when the flowers are in full bloom it is spectacular.
For flash of red February. Best on black.
Many thanks for your great comments on yesterday's images - very much appreciated!!
I like that you did this slightly on an angle. It has a symmetrical feel to it but is aesthetically strong. Great choice for b&w as the forms are intriguing and wouldn't show as much in a vivid color shot.
I (we) must return to England someday and just go touring the beautiful old estates! That was one of my favourite things to do when we were there the first time! This is so pretty...formal gardens are so impressive!
