This fabulous red building is in Lunenburg and the people queueing are there to buy scallops which have been caught and brought in on the boat overnight. Each person is only allowed a certain amount which is why Ken, Louise and myself were there early in the queue to get the full amount we were allowed. Louise will be able to give you more detail I am sure. I have to say the scallops were the most delicious I have ever tasted and so cheap!! Here in the UK you might get 3 scallops on the plate if you are lucky. In NS you get a huge portion!! Lovely!!
The name Adams & Knickle makes me laugh as they sound the "K" which is silent in my surname although many people over the years have had trouble with my name and I have had many pronunciations!! LOL!!
Best on black
It's raining again so I am going back into my files to find my rainbow colours.
Many thanks for your great comments on my pink pen!!
@weezilou - so many fabulous memories of beautiful Lunenburg. I especially love the colourful buildings!! I will always remember the mouthwatering scallops!!
A lovely memory for you for sure! Perfect for the Rainbow! I lived on the Texas coast years ago and loved meeting the fishing boats. There’s nothing better than fresh fish.
Wonderful red building for your calendar. Fresh fish at a good price is definitely worth standing in the que. The name pronounced with the k is quite a mouth full.
Wow, Pam...if it was *RED* you were after, you certainly have it here!!! I feel as though you've gone on vacation without me...but I love seeing your vacation pictures! I'm having fun "traveling" here, but can't wait to return to Lunenburg!
I'd be queueing there too!!!! Love fresh-caught scallops, or just about any fresh seafood for that matter. Lovely building Pam, well worth a shot and works well for red.
