Early morning walk

We took the dogs out early this morning before it got too hot. A visit to the local country park and I was pleased to see how calm the water in the lake was reflecting the beautiful rapeseed fields opposite. A quick iPhone shot as I cannot manage my camera plus the dog while my knee is still giving me problems.

The rape seeds almost make your eyes blink, such strong yellow colour. We don't get much rape up here as we are mostly grass & dairy.

On closer inspection of the water tower I think it's Sywell. Looks a nice place for a stroll :)

@rjb71 it’s Sywell Country Park Richard which is just a bit closer than Pitsford. Also at the weekend you are likely to get run over by mad cyclists at Pitsford! I have a season ticket for parking at all the local country parks and we make the most of it especially when the weather is good.

@maggiemae we took mugs of coffee with us - we have the type with lids on which keep the coffee hot. We sat on a bench overlooking the lake while the dogs sniffed all the leaves around us. They were very happy!
