You meet the strangest people when walking in the woods!! LOL!! Why these two young women were dressed like this I have no idea as they didn't stop to talk just carried on walking quickly with a purpose. I couldn't resist giving it a sepia colour. I had my iPhone in my hand and grabbed this shot as they rushed past. They didn't even respond to my "Good Morning" - I do find it strange when people walk right by and don't say hello. I think its very rude and unfriendly. The girls were actually quite a distance when I took this shot and I have cropped in tightly. The girl on the LHS actually had a smile on her face which had gone by the time they reached us.
George is at the vets today having his operation (the snip) and I have just phoned and been told he is still very sleepy so phone again in an hour. I didn't sleep much last night worrying about him. I just kept telling myself Finlay was ok when he was done and he and George will get on better with each other once he is done. Fingers crossed!!
Interesting clothes, their demeanor may have been their idea of how people would have acted during the time those clothes were worn. The dark stockings and your sepia processing add to older feel of this. George will be fine, I’m sure!
Nice capture. When my husband and I are out walking in relatively quiet places, the majority of people will respond to a “good morning” but there’s always some that don’t.
@hermann George is home and supposed to stay quiet. Once he came round a bit he realised he had a big plastic collar on. There was no way that was staying round his neck and after a few somersaults he managed to get it off. Hopefully he won’t do any damage !
Forgot to say I totally agree about the bad manners bit. I occasionally strike folks like that around here. Just plain rude in my book. Even more so when they're walking around dressed like these two.
Ha they do look funny. The sepia is perfect!
[ I used to walk through the cathedral grounds on my way to work and say 'hello' to the very few who passed me. Every morning one lady looked totally terrified and I could hear her thinking 'oh no it's the mad woman again'...! After a few months she managed eye contact...then half a smile (but it could have been a grimace) ]
