My little snowman by pamknowler

My little snowman

This is an old photo I have posted before. I wanted to make a Christmas card for my dear friend Louise @weezilou and get it in the post yesterday. I printed the photo and the snowman looked yellow. Whatever I tried he became yellower in the print. Not sure how many I printed in the end - it looked ok on the screen!! I think I may need a new printer!! I gave up in the end and used an image of a robin. When I finally printed it off and put the photo into the tri-fold card I realised the image was too short!! By that time I had had enough and decided to use it anyway!! This was funny to me as I was making the card for Louise who you must know is the expert in making fabulous cards!! I knew if she had been watching me she would have been laughing!!
My dad had a great saying he often used when I did something wrong like this "a blind man would be glad to see it" Never a truer word!!
I am giving up the card making!! LOL!!

Many thanks for your lovely comments on yesterday's uploads - very much appreciated.

No luck catching the hedgehog's mate last night. I have just set the trap again. Fingers crossed!!

Luscious bokeh -- and lovely golden glow. Your story made me laugh because I would have just sent an e-card via email with the image attached!

@pamknowler -- a lovely gesture, indeed. And yes, an extra challenge when posting to a friend who knows how to make GREAT photo cards.

What a jolly snowman and a great story, your really made me smile this morning. I am sure Louise will love the card whatever it looks like because it was made with love and even the imperfections are special. Anyone can send a card only good friends can send a memory.

Well my goodness, I’m sure there’s a solution on the yellow situation. He’s a great snowman anyway.

Great image with the bokeh. Probably worth playing with the white balance to make the snowman a bit whiter for printing.

Cute snowman and, although sorry to hear of all your frustrations, your story did make me smile. Love your Dad's old saying, too :)

OH! 100% absolutely adorable and simply charming! I, too, would have been useless with a disagreeable printer...you gave it your best and you're leagues ahead of me now that I can't mail anything until we're back in California (and my cards I ordered to have sent here that I was going to self-deliver, haven't arrived yet either! : (
