This huge dog is a Leonburger, a German mountain dog. There were a few of them at the country park this morning pulling carts. They were in training. Such beautiful dogs and so gentle! Finlay and George couldn’t believe their eyes at the size of these dogs!

Many thanks for your great comments on yesterday’s image of golden drawing pins. It is on the PP today and it was lovely to see it there.
@samae they were taking the dogs with the carts around a circuit almost like a slalom course. Gently guiding the dogs left and right. They seemed to be getting them used to being in harness and pulling the carts. I have never seen anything like it before.
A woman close to us has one of these so I know just how blooming big they are! As you say, gentle but I wouldn't want to threaten their person/s. All they'd have to do is jump on you!
