Topsy Turvey night at the holiday camp - probably around 1955/6. This is my mum and dad dressed in each other's clothes for the competition. Not sure if it's very PC these days but back then there were all sorts of fun competitions and my mum and dad took part in most. I think my dad won the knobbly knees competition.
I am not sure where they got the clothes from for my mum as I am sure they are not my dad's. He definitely never wore a flat cap!!
We used to go to holiday camps every year - Pontins mostly - I don't think we went to a Butlins. Anyone else have to watch their parents making fools of themselves? LOL!!
Love this memory, I have photos like this taken in the 60s, we went to Colleys holiday Camp at the very end of the North Bay Scarborough, sadly its long gone and now a housing estate.
