I have been watching some very strange activity in my garden in the last couple of days. A pair of goldfinches have been going into a clump of forget-me-nots and picking a stalk with flowers. They then fly off to their nest with the flowers in their beaks. Finally I managed to capture one yesterday and here he is with the flowers. They must have the prettiest nest - dog fur and pretty blue flowers!! I haven't seen birds picking flowers like this before.
There seems to be quite a lot of activity in the garden at the moment with birds taking the dogs fur or going back and forth to the feeder all day long. I am hoping and praying that any babies do not fledge into our garden as Finlay will be waiting for them!!
