Another shot from our visit to Duckpool. George having a paddle. I thought he was going to go right in and swim as he has done before but he changed his mind. Perhaps the water was too cold? LOL!!
Update on the woodburner. Denise came for a walk in the woods with us yesterday and I told her about my sorry efforts to light the woodburner. She told me it was very easy if you followed her simple steps. Paper first, then kindling, then firelighter, then logs. Light the paper and you have a fire! I stopped her and said"FIRELIGHTER?" no one mentioned that!! No wonder I couldn't light the fire!! When Ruth was showing me how to light the fire it had already been set in the burner - complete with firelighter!! Oh how we laughed!! I can now light the flipping woodburner - easy peasy!! LOL!!
There is a back to lighting a wood burner! I always do it without fire lighters....I’m bragging here.......paper, dry kindling & nice dry smaller pieces if wood put on once the kindling has got well going!
