The long grass by pamknowler

The long grass

We left Devon very early this morning as it was poring with rain - once again. A drive of 6 1/2 hours with two brief stops - steady traffic and a couple of accidents causing traffic jams - only to be expected on a Bank Holiday weekend.

When we arrived home the temperature was 10 degrees warmer and the sun was shining!! We had a wonderful couple of weeks especially the time we spent with my niece. It is good to be home however just look at the lawn in the garden - it has grown very long!! My back won't be able to tackle it today - maybe tomorrow!!
We also left Devon for home this morning! We left at 10 after the overnight rain had stopped. We're still travelling! Your grass looks delightfully green!

@busylady We left at 6.30am as I like to get on the road early. I am finding the drive quite difficult now with my dodgy back and knee. Safe journey!!

It’s no mow May so you’ve done as they asked!! You need a sheep or two! Grass is growing it’s fastest just now! The motorway was very busy going North as I drive over it this afternoon.

It looks nice with the wildflowers peeking through the grass.

Glad you are home safely. This is the downside of spending time away from home.

Just rest up for the rest of the day, the lawn can wait

Nice POV of this no-mow area! We just cut ours yesterday for the first time after a month of rain! Hard work, but it's looking good now.

Lawn mowing on the Bank Holiday agenda then! Teenager and I did two of ours yesterday, one more to go. I shall think of you!
