25th March - Industrial - Old Flour Mill

Topic of the Day - Industrial 84/365
(best looked at large on black)
The is the old Whitworths Flour Mill on the banks of the River Nene, Wellingborough. It seems to be empty apart from hundreds of pigeons who fly in and out of the broken windows. It was freezing cold and the light was awful which is why I have converted the shot and I thought this look suited its derelict state.
Love buildings like this, wonderful processing.

@jesperani @agentzuckerguss @fueast @phillchilton thank you for your lovely comments! Very much appreciated!
@carolmw thanks Carol! Woolworths Flour is still operating on that site - the lorries were busy going in and out but I think that's the new part. It's a huge site. This building is definitely not being used. The Windows are all broken with pigeons going in and out. It looks like an abandoned building. I will find out some more information about it. There were loads of swans all around as the water is warmer there from the mill.

@tracybeautychick Thanks Tracey - I couldn't make up my mind whether to leave it in colour or convert it. I think the B&W gave it a bit more atmosphere. Where do you live?
