Topic of the Day - Arch 100/365
(Def best looked at against black)
This is the Welland/Harringworth Viaduct. It was completed in 1878 and is the largest masonary viaduct across a valley in Britain. It has 82 arches each 40 feet wide. This is the view driving down from Seaton Village. It was sunny at home but when I arrived here it was misty and the shots looked very disapointing. I edited this in Silver efex Pro and managed to get some detail out of the mist.
Day 100 today - WOW I have surprised myself. I am really enjoying myself and much of it is due to the wonderful support from you all!! Not only have I found a great photographic challenge but I feel I have made some great new friends!! Thank you for all your comments - they mean a lot to me!!
@danette@yonnie@carolmw@jo13@darrenboyj@sjouk@bulldog@fueast@agentzuckerguss Wow thank you all so much for your wonderful comments!! I am so pleased I could actually get a shot to put up after looking at all the misty murky ones I had. I will go back when its a good sky and try to get the whole viaduct in the shot.
Great shot Pam. Lots to look at and beautifully processed. Congrats on the 100th shot! Time flies, I never thought I'd get there but only have 10 left!

I wonder why that is Kathy - perhaps because it was misty and I increased the contrast a lot. I was just pleased to be able to get one shot that you could see the arches!!
Congrats for your 100th !!
