This was the view from the house - the tide was out and Finlay couldn't wait to get onto the beach for a walk. This is Appledore - a quaint old fishing village with a wonderful fish and chip shop!! LOL!!

@kazlamont Thanks Kazzy!! Its very starnge to watch as it looks like the river is emptying out. Lots of boats are just left high and dry. There is a deep channel on the far side and when the tide comes in quite large boats comeup river to Bideford. To the right of this shot is the headland and the mouth of the river. We were very sheltered here. When we went to the coast the sea was really rough with big waves and there was quite a bit of surfing at Westward Ho! and other beaches along the coast.
