I went for a walk with Finlay along the bank of the River Nene and actually saw this chap catch this 7lb Pike - a very happy man indeed. This is the first time I have seen a fish being caught. I took a series of shots and then went to talk to him. I asked him if he was a Father and he said yes and his treat was to come out fishing!! Another spoilt man!! LOL!!
Apparently pike are very agressive and will demolish small fish in a moment! Perhaps this guy didn't know that. "the only good pike is a dead pike' they say!
@maggiemae He certainly had big teeth!! It was funny as my sister had already said I think they are keeping that for their dinner which was why I asked the chap what was he going to do with it. He said he often fishes there and has caught Pike before and always puts them back.
