26th June Smile - It really is all your own work!!
Topic of the Day - Smile (Just realised I was looking at April's word for the 26th - which was Smile. Today's word for 26th June is Happy (smiles) - I thought it felt familiar!! LOL)
I have just got back from a day out in Buxton, Derbyshire where I met up with two of my dear friends who are also my photography buddies!! What a difference it makes when you all speak the same language!! LOL!! This is my brilliant friend Rachel Baker who is the official photographer for the Buxton Crescent refurbishment project. She is standing in front of the hordings that they have errected around the building and they have put some of her photos on display. She is recording the work as the restoration goes on. She won a competition to get the job and at the end - hopefully 2015 - there will be a permanent display of her work in the completed fabulous 5 star hotel and spa. She will also get a book published. Rachel is not a healthy girl and has osteoporosis (is that how you spell it?) and her bones are very fragile. This is the girl who has to clamber up and down ladders and down into the completely dark basement to take photos. She is doing a fab job and that smile tells me how happy she is doing this project even though it is physically very difficult for her!!
