Today I visited Woburn Deer Park in the hope of seeing some action in the deer rut. The noise of the stags bellowing was echoing all through the woods and there was lots of prancing going on. I didn't see any actual fighting but quite a few chases. The femails did not seem to be at all interested!! Must have a headache!! LOL!!
(Definitely better large)
I took lots of shot but I think this was my favourite of the day. More to come for my Extras album
Wow so thrilled to get this shot on the PP!! Many thanks to you lovely people for for great comments and support!!
Fav, an amazing capture, taken just at the right time. How lovely to go somewhere different for new photo opportunities. I am scraping the barrel at the moment!!
@lucypics Thanks so much Lucy for your great comments and Fav - very much appreciated!! The other place I want to try to get to while the rut is going on is Bradgate Park in Leicestershire where there is the biggest red deer herd in the country. It really is exciting to see these huge beasts running at each other!!
@yonnie Thanks so much Yvonne for your lovely comment and Fav!! It was a wonderful day - so exciting!! I have just noticed you haven't clicked on the Fav button.
@emmadurnford Thanks so much Emma I really appreciate the Fav!! I just had a look at the PP and I have two shots there - how fantastic!! My gull and my stag two of my favourite shots recently!! Isn't it nice when other people like your work!!
@maggiemae wow how lovely! You have made my weekend! I have been looking at your holiday shots and you are making me want to visit NZ again! In my dreams! Lol!
@pixiemac Thanks Sarah - in fact I had a trebble PP - I still can't believe it - my robin form yesterday got on there too!! I drove through the deer park - twice!! The price has gone up so i made the most of all the action!! I am pleased with all the shots I took - I have posted a few in the gaps in my other album. The noise of the stags was fabulous!! So exciting!!
