11th May 2014 - Iphone Macro

This was taken using the other side of the fisheye lens which is a macro lens (Olloclip). Taken to show Jan @macromover what the lens on the Iphone can do. This is handy to have in your pocket when you are out without your big SLR and you see something which needs a macro shot. Not as good as your SLR but at least you don't miss the shot!!

Uploaded for my alternate album
Great detailed macro image, I find in good light my 4s does just as well as a camera!

Oooohhhhh -- I NEED this!!! I'm going to look up olioclip as soon as I stop commenting. If that's not the right thing to google, will you send me the link? We're leaving for southern France and I'm trying to pare down the lenses I'm taking. So many beautiful flowers there, but this would mean I could leave the macro at home...

@taffy Taffy I bought this 3-in-1 lens on Amazon - wide angle, fisheye and macro. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Olloclip-3-In-1-Fisheye-Wide-Angle-Clip-On-Red/dp/B005JTDFOA/ref=cm_cr_pr_sims_t there are a few on Amazon and this is one link - have a look ans see what you think. It's a fun lens and handy to carry with you. Quality obviously not as good as SLR lens and the macro needs some practice I think. Hope this link helps (not done this before)

@pamknowler I found it online...it's in my cart now...just trying to decide whether to hit click! It also seems that the little tripod connector would be a good thing to have to go with my gorillapod.

@taffy yes I noticed the tripod connector - i think I may have to have it!! LOL!! There is always something to buy isn't there?
