I popped into the bird hide in the country park before going home and sat for a while. It was lovely with lots of feeding birds, a squirrel and lots of rabbits. Suddenly to my delight four bullfinches came onto the bird feeder - two males and two females. I sat for ages willing them to come nearer onto the table and finally two came over near me - the male is the brightly coloured one!!. As I only had my 100mm macro with me and not my 100-400mm I was a bit frustrated. I am quite pleased with the result with my macro lens - very tight crop but I haven't lost too much detail.
