5th June 2014 - The Door to nowhere

Another HDR shot from my walk along the Embankment. This is the old disused flour mill which is a wonderful building been left to the pigeons which is so sad. I loved this door with steps down to the water. The boats must have moored to unload there but the door looks too small for deliveries.

I am using 3 shots merged in photomatix for HDR. I am trying to keep the result as normal as possible - I find it is very easy to go over the top with the processing and it can look a bit like a cartoon if you are not careful.

Uploaded for my alternate album
You're capturing the light and shadow nicely, Pam! The subject matter (the old mill) looks full of photo possibilities!

I like photographing old buildings, and this is a dandy! Love that door, steps, and all those broken windows.
